“Not right now” pipeline, read in full
Every deal parked at Closed (Not right now), with its recorded reason read individually and grouped by what the reason actually says. Pulled live from HubSpot on 5 August 2026.
Only 19 of the 185 deals are a genuine no. They are worth $17,940, one and a half per cent of the pool. Everything else is a date, a system migration, a person who left, or silence — $1,109,790 of $1,127,730 is not a no.

The date has passed 28 deals · $310,800 They told us when to come back. That time has gone. Call, and open with their own words.
Stalled in onboarding 10 deals · $21,740 They said yes, then it never finished. One paid the onboarding fee. Warmest group in the pool.
Went quiet, never said no 29 deals · $224,320 Reached a real conversation, then silence. Go in through a different contact at the firm.
Went cold after real interest 11 deals · $45,429 Genuine engagement, then it drifted. In one case our side stopped, not theirs.
Internal buy-in failed 8 deals · $116,200 A champion could not carry the partnership, or we had the wrong person entirely.
Waiting on something specific 8 deals · $48,020 A named event had to happen first. Several of those events have now happened.
Blocked on a system move 17 deals · $148,068 Waiting on Xero Practice Manager, APS, MYOB or FYI. Check the field first, then call.
Fixable blocker 7 deals · $21,000 A specific product, integration or data problem. At least one has since been solved.
The person changed 5 deals · $42,000 Champion left, or a new person did not back it. Find the replacement and approach fresh.
Price or value gap 7 deals · $30,000 Needs a business case, not a follow-up call.
Said no on value or process 11 deals · $36,500 A real, reasoned objection. Worth understanding, mostly not worth chasing.
Committed to another tool 12 deals · $33,912 Mostly Ignition. Diary to renewal, do not re-pitch.
Genuine no, not a fit 19 deals · $17,940 Too small, bills annually in advance, or does not recharge disbursements.
Too small, or never a buyer 7 deals · $2,800 Below the size we sell to, or never a serious opportunity.
Admin, not a real deal 4 deals · $25,000 Never qualified, or a records tidy-up from a previous era.
No reason recorded 2 deals · $4,000 Blank card. Ten minutes in the record before touching it.

How to read this. Every deal name links straight to its HubSpot record — this page is an index into HubSpot, not a copy of it, so the deal card stays the source of truth. Click a group card to filter. Click any column heading to sort. Days are days since the deal was parked.
What the reasons say about the motion. Across the wider set of 291 lost deals, roughly a fifth were lost to non-engagement rather than to an objection. Genuine objections are a short, consistent list: firm too small, bills annually in advance, does not recharge disbursements, committed to Ignition, or on a practice management system we do not integrate with. All five are answerable before a first call.
Method and its limits.
Grouping is keyword classification of the reason text. Every reason is shown in full so any misgrouping is visible.
The “needs a human read” group is the second largest by value. It needs reading, not more classification.
Tier and country come from the company record, which carries known gaps — country in particular is missing on a share of records.
